Mirror, 'Chancay Puzzle'

"This mirror frame was inspired by the minimalist art of the Chancay people, which in turn was inspired by the sea," explains Veronica Ossio. "The frame is crafted by hand, which required a lot of effort to ensure the slabs of polished green onyx and marble fitted perfectly together, like a jigsaw puzzle." Includes an iron chain for hanging, and an added protective glass pane on the back.

Veronica Ossio Tarnawiecki was born on May 15, 1970. She studied Sanitary Engineering but she dropped out after three years, after taking sculpting class. "I became enthralled working with huamanga stone, which is a Peruvian alabaster," recalls Veronica.
